Life fulfillment comes in different forms for each individual, seniors particularly. As we age, we begin to experience the loss of loved ones and changes in the physical capabilities on which we relied for fulfillment in the past. At the Maples of Towson we work to identify and nurture the current potential within each individual.

Our staff works closely with you, your family and physicians to identify your specific needs, desires and abilities. Our multi-disciplinary team will then craft a personalized service plan to meet your health, wellness, mental and spiritual needs. From this careful evaluation, we construct your personal daily routine.

A personalized daily schedule may include all or some of the following options :
  • Quality health care assistance. This is the foundation of your day. Our goal is to provide assistance with each resident's needs while encouraging your active participation in your own physical health. The physician's statement and our nurse's assessment contribute to your individualized and detailed care plan.
  • Flexible morning schedules. We can accommodate both early birds and late risers. If you need extra help getting started, our staff can assist with grooming and dressing.
  • Bathing options for all. You may bathe or shower with staff assistance or privately in your own room.
  • Restaurant-style meals served daily in our pleasantly appointed dining room.
  • Careful attention to medication regimen. For those whose personalized care plan includes medication management, our highly trained staff administers and monitors each resident's medication needs. If a prescription changes, our nurse oversees the adjustment in regiment and the delivery of new medication.
  • Nurture diverse interests and hobbies. Our Activities Director will meet with you to review our offerings and introduce you to other community members with similar interests. Our activities schedule has diverse offerings for everyone: opportunities to play cards and games, read with a volunteer, attend cultural programs and various educational series, go on outings, hone skills in arts and crafts or participate in our intergenerational programs.
  • Spiritual growth. The Maples takes pride in supporting you in your specific religious needs and organizing transportation to and from spiritual activities.
  • Evening entertainment and movies. Community members enjoy taking advantage of our evening social offerings. Other options include spending a comfortable evening in your room reading or watching a favorite TV show.
  • Bedtime assistance. At the end of the day, many of our residents will retire on their own. However, residents may also receive full assistance undressing or with grooming activities. At your request, we also provide toilet reminders or bed checks during the night.
  • Assistance with your clinical needs. Our registered nurse oversees the administration of medication and staff licensed nurses attend to your specific clinical needs. Each Tuesday our visiting physician sees residents by appointment.

Our professional and caring staff is proud to serve the individual needs of each and every community member. The Maples is dedicated to the highest standard in carrying out your personalized care plan. Together with your family, friends and physicians, we strive to enrich your experience with us on a daily basis.
