Januari Curry Appointed Executive Director
One of the Towson area’s first Assisted Living communities continues to innovate.
SageLife, parent company of The Maples, has named Januari Curry Executive Director. SageLife has created a new role which integrates supervision of the resident health and wellness team with management of day-to-day operations of the community. Combining the responsibilities fosters synergy in leadership of the community. Curry quotes the boutique-sized community’s motto when describing the advantages of its size and its culture, “The Maples is big enough to count on and small enough to care.”
A Registered Nurse certified in wound care and assisted living management, Curry has played a vital role in implementing SageLife’s electronic medical record-keeping system. “We call her a ‘nurse-of-all-trades’ because she can really do it all,” said Kelly Andress, Founder and President of SageLife. “Januari brings a long history of commitment and dedication to The Maples and SageLife as a whole. We’re beyond thrilled to appoint her to this position.”
Having worked for The Maples for more than eight years, Curry has gained a wide range of experience and a nurtured appreciation of her role. “My favorite part of my job is becoming a part of residents’ families,” Curry said. “There are very few careers I can think of where you have the opportunity to develop such meaningful relationships. That’s the real reward.”
